Random Group Generator
Split a class list into random groups by group count or group size.
What is Group Generator?
Grouping students randomly avoids the awkwardness of choosing teams in front of the class and stops the same friendships always forming a group. What matters in practice is that the groups come out even, and that the split is genuinely a shuffle rather than grouping the list in the order it was pasted.
How it works
The list is shuffled with a seeded random source and then dealt round-robin into the groups, which keeps sizes within one of each other — 23 students in 4 groups becomes 6/6/6/5 rather than piling the leftovers into one place. Asking for groups by size converts to a group count the same way, and the readout shows the largest and smallest group before you print.
