What is Isometric Paper?
Isometric paper is a triangular lattice built from a vertical grid plus two diagonal families at ±30°. Drawing along those three directions lets a flat sheet represent height, width and depth consistently, which is why it is used for product sketches, cutaway diagrams, pixel-style 3D lettering and engineering axonometrics.
How it works
The triangle size sets the vertical grid pitch and the diagonal spacing, which is the triangle's height (side × √3⁄2) rather than the side length itself — that is what keeps every triangle equilateral. The two diagonal families come from one Λ-shaped pattern tile repeated in both directions.
