Coordinate Plane Generator
Print labelled four-quadrant or first-quadrant coordinate planes.
What is Coordinate Plane?
A coordinate plane is the graph paper of algebra: a horizontal x-axis and vertical y-axis crossing at the origin, with a grid for plotting points, drawing lines and sketching functions. Four-quadrant planes cover negative and positive values; first-quadrant planes are what primary and early secondary work uses.
How it works
Four-quadrant mode centres the origin and draws a square grid, so equal distances on each axis look equal on the page — essential for reading slopes by eye. First-quadrant mode anchors the origin at the bottom-left corner so the plotted area fills the sheet. Axis labels are generated from the range and step, so a −10 to 10 plane is labelled every unit.
