Percentile Rank Calculator
Find what percentage of a data set falls at or below a value.
What is Percentile Rank?
The percentile rank is the other direction from the percentile: instead of "what value is at the 90th percentile", it answers "what percentile is this value at". A score in the 90th percentile beat 90% of the others — the same relationship stated from the other end, and the one reported on standardised test results.
How it works
The count of values below the target plus half the count of values equal to it, divided by the total, is the mid-rank convention: it makes this page and the percentile page agree, so that ranking a value and looking that percentile up give back the same number. Because half of an equal value always counts, a value drawn from the list can never land on exactly 0% or 100%.
