What is Shuffle Rows?

A row shuffler with a seeded, deterministic PRNG so shuffles are reproducible for tests and audits.

How it works

Rows are Fisher-Yates shuffled with a mulberry32 PRNG seeded by your number; the header row stays first.

  1. Enter your input. Type or paste your input into the field above — the tool responds instantly.
  2. Review the result. Output updates live as you type. Everything runs entirely in your browser.
  3. Copy or download. Use the Copy button to grab the result, or Download to save it as a file.

Examples

Randomizing row order

Shuffle a participant list so the draw order is fair — with a seed option so the same ordering can be reproduced.

Common mistakes

Shuffling headers too

The header row must stay on top. The tool treats the first row as headers unless you say otherwise.

Frequently asked questions

Why would I use a seed?

A seeded shuffle is reproducible — the same input and seed always produce the same order, useful for audits.

Is the shuffle unbiased?

Yes — it uses a Fisher–Yates shuffle so every ordering is equally likely.
