What is Attendance Required?

This is the inverse of “how many classes can I miss”. Once some absences have already been taken, an attendance requirement stops being about the rate so far and becomes about the remaining classes: how many of them must you be present for to finish above the line. The answer is often more than people expect, because the missed classes are now part of the denominator for the whole term.

How it works

Attendance is (attended + additionally attended) ÷ (held + remaining), and we solve that for the smallest whole number of remaining classes that reaches the target. When even attending every remaining class cannot recover the rate, the tool says the target is not reachable and reports the best possible finish instead of a number above the number of classes left.
