What is School Days Count?
The number of school days in a stretch is not the number of weekdays in it. Schools close for in-service days and half terms that are not public holidays, and a closure next to a weekend is easy to miscount — which matters when a syllabus, a placement or an attendance policy counts days.
How it works
Every date in the window is enumerated, weekends are removed, and then only the holidays that fall on a remaining weekday are subtracted — a holiday on a Saturday is reported but changes nothing. The month breakdown makes the total checkable at a glance and the weeks readout turns the count into whole weeks of school.
