What is Cornell Notes?

Cornell notes divide a page into three regions: a narrow cue column for questions and keywords, a wide notes area for the main material, and a summary band across the bottom for the takeaway. The structure forces review, which is why it is one of the most widely recommended note-taking methods.

How it works

Both boundaries are proportional to the printable area, so the note area grows when you switch to A4, Legal or landscape instead of staying a fixed number of millimetres. The notes column is ruled at your chosen spacing and the summary band is sized to about a fifth of the page.
