What is BG Remover?
Upload any photo and our in-browser AI model automatically detects the subject (person, face, body) and removes the background, producing a transparent PNG. No manual color picking needed.
How it works
We run Google's MediaPipe selfie segmentation model entirely in your browser using WebAssembly. The model analyzes the image and produces a pixel-level mask separating the subject from the background. The model loads once and is cached for future visits.
- Upload. Upload a photo with a person or subject.
- Remove. Click Remove Background — the AI model processes locally.
- Download. Download the transparent PNG or replace the background with a color.
