Age in Months Calculator
Count calendar months lived from a birth date, with remainder days.
What is Age in Months?
Infant and toddler ages are usually quoted in months, and the number has to be calendar-correct: a baby born in January is a different number of months old in August depending on the day and on February's length. The total month count is that calendar-aware figure, useful from well-baby visits to benefit eligibility.
How it works
The calendar months between the birth date and the reference date are counted with month-end clamping — the same rule that makes January 31 plus a month the end of February — and then split into whole years and remaining months, with any leftover days reported separately.
